As per NFPA 20 codes Fire Pumps must have positive Suction ???

As per NFPA 20 Fire Pump must have postive suction but in Pakistan 80% fire pumps installed with negative suction.

With negative underground tanks suction of fire pump not comply to NFPA codes

Do we need to invest in expensive UL/FM Fire Pumps when we install them with negative suction/underground tanks???
